The process of curating a new museum is both daunting and rewarding but never boring. Every day brings a new set of challenges and the day never ends without learning something.....by accident or otherwise. The area or "district" that our Museum serves is varied and rich in history and culture. It encompasses three First Nations Bands; Adams Lake Indian Band, Little Shuswap Lake Band and the Nesconlith Band. The communities our Archives serves runs from Pritchard to the west of Chase to Sorrento to the east, Turtle Valley to the south and Pinaten to the north. This area is rich in a colourful history of both humour and tragedies but the common thread is the strength and determination of the people who have come before us.
